Trend 2: Color of the Season!

Hello Lovelies!

Happy Thursday! The weekend is almost here! It seemed like a great time to share another fall trend with you guys! Usually each season there will be a few key colors that have repeatedly occurred in various designers collections. This season that color is oxblood (or burgundy or chianti, if you must), as it has appeared in collections such as Tommy Hilfiger and DKNY.

trend fall oxblood

I have to admit, any shade of red has just never been a favorite of mine. However, this shade really has grown on me. I even purchased a pair of oxblood, patent leather loafers at Goodwill today (Pictures to come)!  I began to think about all the different options that this color had to offer! I thought about how I could wear it with black, brown, grey, navy, and (even on the rare occasion) khaki! And what is so cool about it, is that with each  different color you pair it with, each outfit would all have a different feel to it. For instance, when wearing an oxblood jacket with black ankle pants, I imagine a very chic and edgy look. However, when I think of wearing the same oxblood jacket with brown pants, it could have the potential to have a more equestrian (yet another trend this season!) look to it, which could be fabulous! The options with this are absolutely endless! You can add a statement piece to your outfit by adding maybe an oxblood blazer, but more subdued shades for the rest of the look. You could also play around with accessories and just add in pops of oxblood with your shoes or a bag or even a scarf! OR maybe you are just going to jump into fall trends full force and wear monochromatic oxblood! I say Go for it, the sky is the limit with this one!

What are your thoughts on this trend? How would you incorporate oxblood into your style?
Comment and share your thoughts!

Much Love,
Jade
